Step Two: Grab a Ticket!

Registering before the event allows you to skip the line when you arrive to check in. New players attending their first event get a discounted rate of $20 for the full weekend experience! Our events occur monthly, and the window for pre-registration generally closes the Monday before game. No worries if you miss registration, we’ll happily register and check you in when you arrive on site.

Step Four: Create your Character

Decide on the a character concept as complex or simple as you want. Who is your character? What do they want most in the world? How do they react to danger? What strain are they? Once you’ve got a general concept down we’ll help you with the specifics later.

Step Three: Download The Guide

This free pdf contains our rules, community guidelines, general world information, and everything you need to create your apocalypse persona. There’s a ton of information included, AND our community is currently building a new version of our ruleset called 3.0. You aren’t expected to memorize every rule and call, but the survivor’s guide is invaluable as a reference.

Things to keep you dry, warm, and fed over the weekend.

Here’s a general timeline of how your first event with Dystopia Rising: Oregon will play out. Also check out our info on NPC Shifts!

Step Five: Get Kitted Out

As a community, we want to create an immersive environment. This means costuming and props! But no pressure, the costuming can be as simple some old clothes you own or pick up from a thrift shop. If you wish for your character to start with armor, contact safe weapon props, nerf guns, or other ranged weapons, follow these links for our safety guidelines.
